Good food, decent prices. Friendly staff! It's close to my work so I get lunch from here frequently and have never been dissapointed.

I've only ordered from here twice before. First time was about a year ago and the second time was this year and I was disappointed in the quality both times. The dishes containing meat don't seem very fresh and the portion size is definitely lacking. It is still priced like other Chinese restaurants so you're better off trying others where you can get more bang for your buck. It's a standard place for average Chinese food if you have a hankering and there's a lot of dishes to choose from!

They can do a good job of gluten free, just ask the servers. Been there 5 times, haven been tripped up yet.

Ordered the chicken in black bean sauce, chicken fried rice, and chicken chow mein from them for when I dined in. Service was quick and accommodating. I also ordered the chicken chow mein from them for pick up on a different occasion. It was ready in exactly 10 minutes, and absolutely delicious! Staff were kind and efficient in person, and on the phone! 10/10

The best Chinese food I've ever had and the best wait staff! The aesthetic of the restaurant is fine dining but without the fine dining price. Their food is fresh and If you want to order pecking duck, you'll have to call 24hrs in advance. Overall experience is a 11/10😊

We were in the area and noticed this splendid restaurant. Very much enjoyed a fresh tasty variety of Asian foods. Menu is diverse and service was very good. Also a surprising good value.

The service and food were the best experience I've ever had. Our waiter was so thoughtful and always there to fill up our drinks. He brought out my Aunt's birthday cake right on time and cut everyone a piece. This was very much appreciated. I highly recommend Pear River Restaurant

Very tasty meals. Love the lemon chicken without any coating. My friend got me liking Muh Shu Pork dish. Won ton soup is great to start with, especially with colder weather.

I have Celiac disease and the fine people of Pearl River will adapt their dishes to be gluten free. Ate there twice, not y did I not get sick but the food was AMAZING! Our server was wonderful, the host was great too. We will definitely be repeat customers.

Quite solid standard Chinese food. Would recommend for anyone looking for anyone wanting a great Chinese what is what you are experiencing.

I decided to try out this place with my auntie and cousins. I am allergic to wheat and eggs and I was told this place was the one to go to for gf options. So I decided to get the lemon chicken and a beef dish along with the rice. Wow I was sooooo impressed with everything. I haven't had chinese food in over 2 years and this deff hit the spot. I would for sure come back here and I've already recommended it to a couple other ppl who are gluten intolerant.

Some of the very best Asian food in the city. A must-try is the shrimp in Paradise sauce. And the bird's nest is to die for. Either shrimp and scallop and or chicken.

Great gluten free Chinese food but best in morning. It gets busy at night and can sometimes mistake your order. But they are quick to fix I have never left unhappy.

I recommend Pearl River restaurant in Edmonton, Alberta - Canadasince 1988 my first visit to Edmonton, I had been introduced to the gems of the Chinese cuisine , so delicious .I offer them more than 5 stars. incomparable

The chicken hoisin dish, while very salty, was very tasty. It had a flame grilled flavour which I thought added a unique flavour. (Definitely need a bowl of rice to eat with it).I love simple dishes like shanghai fried noodles, and therefore have had it many times before, Pearl River did not deliver on this simple dish. I would avoid this and get it elsewhere. The lettuce wraps seemed popular with regulars although we didn't order them. The service was nice, and the ambience makes the place seem fancier than most similar restaurants. Good casual date place. Also good for large groups due to the portions.

We ordered some starters, (dry Ribs wonton soup, egg rolls and green onion cakes) All was very good, except for one order of the wonton soup which had a small bone in it. For our main dishes we ordered 5 to share. Lemon chicken, cashew chicken with vegetables, chow main with shrimp and chicken chicken fried rice and a beef dish. Lots of vegetables and a good amount of meat in each of the dishes. For the price I would have preferred to see a bit more meat and cashews but overall was still satisfied. Next time back I will try one of the combo meals as you get variety without having to order full sized dishes. All dishes were good but the chow main dish was extremely salty and noodles were dry. It was a busy place, service was great and prompt. Will go back when craving Chinese as the restaurant was very clean and welcoming.

For almost every major family occassion we eat dinner here and we've never been disappointed. There are plenty of menu options, the food is great, the staff is very friendly and attentive, and the restaurant is clean. A great choice for any occasion or outing!

The food and service here is exceptional. Have gone on many occasions and have never been disappointed. Great for take out too. It's a little pricier than others but the quality of food and portion sizes are worth it.

My first visit to this restaurant was today...Father's Day with my son and daughter. We were met by Douglas who informed us that the resturant has been in business for 40 years. The service and the food were excellent. Best sezuwan beef I've had in years. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is your typical Chinese place catered to a western customer base. The food is decent, however it came out after only about 5 minutes after ordering so it's obviously precooked or warmed up, the ice tea was just the powdered stuff you buy at Costco. The servers are attentive and come to your table multiple times to check up on you which is nice. Overall this resturant is okay. It's not bad nor does it stand out.

You won't find better Chinese food anywhere in Edmonton. Their service is impeccable!

I've been to this establishment several times before and always enjoy the food. The decor might be dated but the quality of the food and service is always above par. This is one of my favorites restaurants for Chinese food as they have authentic and Canadian menus.

We had take out last night. One word- amazing! We had the dinner for two (with schezuan beef) and added an extra dish of Cantonese chow mein. Everything was tasty. We will order again from here.

Have been going to this restaurant off and on with my family for about 20 yrs and have gotten slowly disappointed with the food quality. It is always a friendly atmosphere , great service. Appreciated they still take reservations and their pick up service was always stellar! However last time we were there, a few weeks ago, it pains me to say the 4 of us agreed that the food really lacked freshness & quality. To end our meal my daughter's napkin fell on the floor when the server was removing some of the dishes and he promptly picked it up and gave it back to her? We were all in shock, we will not be returning.

First time eating Chinese food after being diagnosed with celiac disease. Everything in my pictures EXCEPT the szechuan beef and spring rolls by the empty chair was gluten free! The Paradise shrimp is unlike anything I've ever had before. Absolutely delicious meal - even my non celiac spouse enjoyed it.

Pearl river is the best! Portions are big but you can also get a half order if you don't want to have a huge portion and perfect for sharing! I've had my birthday here for many years and I am going to definitely continue to come here! Graham is the best, super friendly, super accommodating and really befriends you! I would 10/10 recommend for anyone to eat here for authentic chinese food!
